Temple Bar Gallery + Studios presents Ireland’s only art book fair, celebrating its tenth anniversary in 2020, sponsored by Henry J Lyons. Dublin Art Book Fair (DABF) champions creative and cutting-edge publishers, big and small, Irish and international. It is a centre for the contemporary artist book and includes a section of specially curated book titles. DABF has evolved into a significant crossdisciplinary meeting ground, reaching out to peer organisations in the city and lesser-known museums, collections, and galleries. In the relaxed and stimulating environment of Temple Bar Gallery, discover a unique selection of books on art, architecture, visual culture, philosophy, design and select fiction, enjoy a coffee and engage in a free curated programme of talks, tours, workshops and discussions.

This year DABF is guest curated by Alice Rawsthorn, design critic and author. Her theme, Design as an Attitude, will explore how design is opening up to become an increasingly elastic and extensive field that addresses the major challenges of our time, such as the climate emergency and refugee crisis, the rise of inequality and intolerance, ensuring that accelerating advances in technology will affect us positively, not negatively, and how to rebuild our lives after the devastating Covid-19 crisis. Due to the Covid-19 crisis, we are unfortunately not able to join DABF ourselves. However, a variety of our titles are available during the fair, making DABF the perfect occasion to get to know Valiz and our (latest) titles.
